Terms of Service
Last updated: June 30, 2026
By using Data Engineer Toolkit (“the Service”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
The Service
The Service is a free, browser-based set of tools for viewing, querying, converting, and inspecting data files. Files are processed entirely on your device; we don’t receive or store their contents.
Your data and responsibility
You are solely responsible for the files you process and for ensuring you have the right to use them. Because everything runs locally, you retain full control of your data — and full responsibility for it, including compliance with any laws or agreements that apply to it.
Acceptable use
- Don’t use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Don’t attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer for abuse, or overload the Service or its infrastructure.
Intellectual property
The Service’s name, branding, and original code are owned by their respective authors. Your files and their contents remain entirely yours.
No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Data conversions and queries are powered by third-party engines (e.g. DuckDB); verify outputsbefore relying on them for anything important. We don’t guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.
Paid plans
Paid plans are not yet available. When they launch, additional billing terms will apply and will be presented at purchase.
Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
